Ballard — the heart of it
A dozen breweries within walking distance make Ballard the most concentrated beer neighborhood in Seattle. Reuben's Brews, Stoup, Urban Family, Lucky Envelope, and Obec are all within a few blocks.
Georgetown — production country
Georgetown Brewing is the largest craft brewery in Washington State. The neighborhood also has Great Notion, Jellyfish, and Counterbalance — spread out, but worth the trip.
Fremont — outdoor biergartens
Fremont Brewing has one of the best outdoor biergartens in the city. Outlander and Aslan round out a compact, walkable cluster near the Burke-Gilman Trail.
Capitol Hill — bars and taprooms
Elysian, Optimism, and Outer Planet are all in or near Capitol Hill. More of a mixed bar/taproom vibe than a dedicated brewery district.

Walk the Ballard brewery district. Reuben's, Stoup, Urban Family, Lucky Envelope, and Obec are all within a half-mile — no car needed.
Go early on weekends. Fremont Brewing and Reuben's taprooms fill up by mid-afternoon on Saturdays, especially in summer.
Rideshare between neighborhoods. Georgetown, Ballard, and Fremont are not walkable to each other — plan rideshares if you're hitting multiple areas.
Most outdoor taprooms are dog-friendly. Fremont Brewing's biergarten is one of the best dog-friendly spots in the city.

Skipping Georgetown. It feels industrial and out of the way, but Georgetown Brewing is the largest craft brewery in the state — worth the detour.
Driving between taprooms. Rideshare or walk. Parking in Ballard on weekends is genuinely painful and a car makes brewery-hopping impractical.
Assuming taprooms serve food. Many don't — bring your own or check ahead. Some allow outside food; food trucks sometimes park outside.
Only visiting in summer. Several taprooms have excellent indoor spaces and are great year-round. Don't write off Seattle breweries because of the weather.
