Spruce Grove Campground sits 33 miles up the Entiat River Road in the upper valley, tucked off the main road down a short but rough dirt track. The campground has two sites, though both are becoming overgrown and are no longer suitable for camping — the area is currently open for day use only due to hazard trees, and that status is expected to continue for the foreseeable future. Check with the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest for any changes before planning an overnight trip.
Despite its limited amenities, Spruce Grove makes a worthwhile stop on a drive through the upper valley. The Entiat River is accessible from the site, and the remote setting is genuinely quiet. A pit toilet is on-site, though it is showing its age. The access road is short but rough — fine for a standard vehicle driven slowly, but not suited for trailers or RVs.
A quick read on who this campground suits — and where it falls short — so you can decide in under a minute.

The Entiat River is accessible from the site and is the main reason to stop here. The upper valley stretch of the river runs cold and clear — a good spot to take a break on a long drive up or down the valley. The remote setting and lack of facilities keeps visitor numbers low.
Spruce Grove sits near the top of the Entiat River Road, close to Three Creek and Cottonwood Campgrounds and various upper-valley trailheads. It makes a reasonable stop on a drive to explore the full length of the valley.
Several upper-valley trailheads are within a few miles — including the Entiat River Trail, North Fork Entiat, and approaches to the Glacier Peak Wilderness. See the Entiat Hiking Guide for options.

Spruce Grove is currently open for day use only due to hazard trees. Overnight camping is not permitted. Check with the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest for current status before visiting.
Both campsites are becoming overgrown and are no longer maintained for camping. The area functions as a remote river access point rather than an active campground.
A short but rough dirt road leads down to the site from the main valley road. Passable in a standard vehicle driven carefully — not suitable for trailers or RVs.
A pit toilet is on-site but is in poor condition. Come prepared.
No cell service this far up the valley. Download maps and any needed information before leaving Entiat.
