Overview

Flick Creek Campground is a small boat-in campground on the north shore of Lake Chelan, along the Lakeshore Trail about 3.5 miles from Stehekin. It is close enough to Stehekin to be useful for backpackers finishing or starting the trail, while still feeling like a simple lakeshore camp.

The campground has a small dock with capacity for two boats. The dock is seasonal and is generally usable during summer when Lake Chelan is at 1,096 feet or above. A federal dock permit is required from May 1 through October 31 for private boaters using the dock.

Flick Creek is compact, but comfortable for its size. There is a shelter with room to sleep, plus an open area next to the shelter that can accommodate a couple of tents. A vault toilet and food storage locker round out the basics. Because the campground has limited capacity and sits on a popular stretch of the Lakeshore Trail, it can fill up during summer weekends.
