Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park

Full-service state park at the end of the south shore road — lake access, a boat launch, hookup sites, and a gateway to the remote upper lake.

Overview

Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park sits at the literal end of the south shore road, 25 miles up-lake from Chelan. At 232 acres, it's one of the larger state parks on the lake, and it serves as the primary jumping-off point for boaters heading into the remote upper lake — a quieter stretch of water that most visitors never reach. The boat launch here is the last one until Stehekin, and the park has overnight moorage for those exploring by water.

The campground has 36 sites: 7 full-hookup RV sites, 4 partial-hookup sites, and 25 standard tent or no-hookup sites. Two restrooms with showers are on-site, along with a small camp store that's genuinely useful given how far from town you are. The park is open April 1 through October 31 — hookup sites book out fast for summer weekends, often months in advance.

A short swimming area and fishing dock are available within the park. The Twenty-Five Mile Creek valley above the park has a network of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and dirt biking.

Things to Know

calendar_today

Full-hookup and partial-hookup sites fill months ahead for summer weekends. Standard sites go faster than you'd expect. For July and August, reservations typically open 9 months out — set a reminder and book the day they're released.

receipt_long

A valid Discover Pass is required for all vehicles at Washington State Park campgrounds. Day-use and overnight fees apply separately. Purchase online before you arrive.

sailing

The park has the last boat launch on the south shore before Stehekin, making it the primary access point for the remote upper lake. Moorage fills up in summer — call ahead if arriving by water.

storefront

A small camp store within the park sells basic supplies, ice, and fuel. Given the distance from Chelan and Manson, plan your grocery run before you arrive — the store is not a substitute for a full shop.

event_busy

The park is closed November 1 through March 31. Some facilities may have restricted hours early and late in the season. Check with the park directly for current conditions in April and October.
