Overview

Snowberry Bowl Campground is a well-maintained Forest Service campground a few miles from the busier Twenty Five Mile Creek State Park, offering a quieter alternative with genuine amenities. Nine campsites are spread along a forested hillside loop, with two group sites capable of accommodating trailers up to 25 feet — making it one of the few non-hookup options in the area that works for larger rigs. Sites cost $15 per night ($30 for group sites), and the campground is open mid-May through October. Amenities include three vault toilets, a potable water faucet, secured food storage, and a group shelter open to all campers. It's positioned within a few miles of several trailheads in the Twenty Five Mile Creek area, including the Pot Peak Trail. A solid choice for tent campers and small trailer owners who want a developed but uncrowded campground without paying state park prices.

Things to Know

payments

Standard sites cost $15 per night; the two group sites (6 & 7) cost $30 per night. Payment is made at the self-serve pay station located at the lower entrance to the campground.

event

The campground is open from mid-May through October. Potable water from the campground faucet may not be available in May and October, so bring your own water if visiting at the start or end of the season.

groups

Campsites 6 and 7 are larger group sites that can accommodate vehicles or trailers up to 25 feet. A group shelter adjacent to these sites is available to all campers on a first-come, first-served basis.

event_available

No reservations are accepted. The campground is generally less crowded than the nearby Twenty Five Mile Creek State Park, but summer weekends can still fill up — plan to arrive earlier in the day.

inventory_2

A shared bear box for food storage is available near the group shelter. Use it to keep wildlife out of your food, especially overnight.
