Lake Chelan — Washington State
Where to eat in Chelan and Manson — winery dining, breweries, fine dining, and more.
beExploring / Lake Chelan
Lake Chelan's dining scene stretches the length of the lake, from downtown Chelan on the east end to Manson about seven miles west, with winery restaurants scattered across both shorelines in between. The strongest dining options here are winery kitchens — several tasting rooms run full restaurants and are among the best meals in the area — but there are also two breweries with pub food, a handful of fine dining spots, and a few taco trucks worth knowing about. Chelan is a strongly seasonal destination, and restaurant hours reflect that: the full dining scene is open from roughly Memorial Day through Labor Day, and many places scale back or close entirely in the off-season.

Many restaurants, especially winery dining rooms, reduce hours significantly or close entirely from October through April. Some operate on a reservation-only basis in the off-season. Check Instagram or call ahead before building your plans around a specific spot.
From Memorial Day through Labor Day, most sit-down restaurants fill up quickly, especially on weekends. Same-day reservations are possible but risky at popular spots. Book ahead wherever you have a preference — this applies to winery restaurants in particular, where tables go fast.
Downtown Chelan has the fine dining options, Stormy Mountain Brewing, and most of the hotels. Manson has Lake Chelan Brewery, several winery restaurants, and a more relaxed pace. Plan your evenings around where you're staying rather than driving back and forth after dinner.
7 tasting rooms with full kitchens
Several Lake Chelan wineries run full restaurants alongside their tasting rooms, and they represent some of the best dining in the region. Options range from outdoor BBQ at Lake Chelan Winery to Italian-focused cuisine at Tsillan Cellars' Sorrento's to the lake-view bistro at Vin du Lac. Hours and reservation policies vary by winery, so it's worth checking ahead.

The most established brewery in the Lake Chelan area. Stormy Mountain occupies a comfortable spot in downtown Chelan with a full-service restaurant and 10 rotating taps — a mix of their own housemade beers and guest selections, plus local wine for those not in a beer mood. A natural stop before or after a day on the lake.

Manson's local taproom, right in the heart of downtown. Lake Chelan Brewery brews their own beers onsite — a rotating lineup that includes an IPA, lager, red amber, and blond — alongside guest taps and a full pub food kitchen. A solid anchor for a Manson evening, especially after a day of wine tasting.
Sit-down restaurants in downtown Chelan
Campbell's Resort sits right on the Chelan lakefront and its restaurant is one of the most established dining options in town. A reliable choice for a full sit-down dinner, especially if you're staying in downtown Chelan.
A French bistro in downtown Chelan that leans into the classics — the kind of place that earns return visits. When the weather cooperates, outdoor seating opens up and the whole dining experience expands considerably. On cooler evenings or in the off-season, it's an intimate setting: a small room, close tables, and a menu that rewards attention.
Andante is a cozy Italian restaurant in downtown Chelan — the kind of place that feels like a find. The dining room is small and intimate, which makes reservations important but also gives it a warmth that larger restaurants in the area can't match. Italian-focused menu with the attention to detail you'd expect from a room this size.
6 fixed locations in Chelan and Manson
The Lake Chelan area has six taco trucks worth knowing about — Ariana's Tacos, Tacos El Güero, Taqueria Mazatlán, and Tacos La Roca in Chelan, and Taqueria Morelia and Maria's Cocina in Manson. All six operate from fixed, permanent locations with onsite tables and shade, and most will take a call-ahead order if you're tight on time. They're some of the better casual food in the area and a natural fit before a lake day or between winery stops.

A full-day commitment at the head of the lake
At the far north end of Lake Chelan, the remote community of Stehekin has a bakery and a restaurant at North Cascades Lodge — but getting there is a full-day commitment. The ferry from Chelan takes about four hours each way, and Stehekin is accessible only by boat or floatplane. Plan it as a dedicated day trip, not a quick dinner run.
