Lincoln Rock State Park is a Washington State Park on the Columbia River — technically Lake Entiat, the reservoir behind Rocky Reach Dam — about 7 miles north of East Wenatchee along US-2. The park takes its name from a basalt formation along the hillside that resembles Abraham Lincoln's profile, and the campground has grown into one of the most popular on the river for families, boaters, and cyclists. With 95 campsites across four loops, 12 rentable cabins, five docks, a boat launch, and a trailhead for the Rocky Reach Trail, it offers more amenities than almost any other campground in the Wenatchee valley.
The four loops offer meaningfully different camping experiences. Loop A (sites 1 through 27) is the shaded loop — mature trees cover most sites — and it sits closest to the swimming area and docks. Sites have no hookups, making this the best option for tent campers or anyone who prefers a quieter, shadier setting. Loop B (sites 28 through 59) runs partly along the riverbank, with some sites directly on the water. It also includes a group site. These are the most in-demand sites and come with full hookups (water, electric, and sewer) in a mix of back-in and pull-through configurations. Loop C (sites 60 through 95) offers electric and water hookups and includes four basic rental cabins. The Deluxe Cabin Loop is separate and has eight cabins with kitchenettes and bathrooms — a good option for groups or families who want a roof without tent camping.
Water is the main draw here. A boat launch and five docks — centered around Loop A — give easy access to Lake Entiat for motorboats, kayaks, and paddleboards. Moorage can be reserved, with each dock able to accommodate four boats. The swim area near Loop A has calm water well suited for families. On land, the park has one of the more complete recreation setups of any campground in the valley: dedicated pickleball courts, tennis courts, basketball, grass and sand volleyball, a playground, and a playfield.
The Rocky Reach Trail starts at the southern end of the park and runs 5.5 miles south along the Columbia River into Wenatchee, where it connects to the Apple Capital Loop Trail. This makes Lincoln Rock one of the few campgrounds in the area where you can ride a bike directly into town. Note that the trail has restricted hours during the agricultural season: from April 1 through June 30, the Rocky Reach Trail is open noon to dusk only. The rest of the year it opens at 6:30 am and closes at dusk.
