300 Enchantment Park Way, on the south side of the river. From downtown, drive around or walk across Blackbird Island from Waterfront Park. The lot is at the east end of Enchantment Park Way.

Is there a pump track in Leavenworth?

Yes. The paved pump track is inside Enchantment Park, next to the skate park and the free lot. It is built for young riders on bikes, scooters, and balance bikes, and it is still fun for older kids.

Is parking free at Enchantment Park?

Yes. The city lot is free, with ADA stalls and room for buses. It is the practical overflow when the Waterfront Park lot is full.

Can I walk from Enchantment Park to downtown?

Yes. Enchantment Bridge crosses onto Blackbird Island, and the island trails continue to Waterfront Park and up into downtown. Plan on about ten minutes one way, longer if you loop the island.

When are the ball fields open?

Overview

Enchantment Park is Leavenworth’s sports complex, 39 acres at the end of Enchantment Park Way on the south side of the Wenatchee River. The City of Leavenworth opened it in 1992: two softball fields (one lighted), a junior baseball field that doubles as youth soccer, a paved pump track, a skate park, a playground, restrooms, and a large free lot that fits buses.

Trails leave the fields for Blackbird Island and Waterfront Park, so a pump-track hour turns into a river walk without moving the car. Ball fields typically close October 15 and reopen around April 15. Trails and restrooms stay open in winter. Hours and field seasons follow the City of Leavenworth.

Pump Track

A paved loop of rollers and berms next to the lot. Balance bikes, scooters, and bikes all work. It is the family activity most people mean when they say they went to Enchantment Park.

Skate Park

Ramps, rails, and bowls under the trees, signed Willkommen Leavenworth Skatepark. Mixed skill levels, picnic tables on the grass, and a short walk from the pump track.

Ball Fields

Two softball fields (one lighted) and a junior baseball field that doubles as youth soccer. Typical season is mid-April through October 15. The Cascade backdrop is the reason people photograph the outfield.

Playground

A play structure with slides next to picnic tables and the restroom building. The usual backup when someone in the group is not skating or pumping.

River Beach

A sandy beach on the park’s river side, quieter than the Waterfront Park take-out. Same cold current, no lifeguards. The Enchantment Bridge onto Blackbird Island is a short walk from here.

Rafters Beach

A quieter sandy bank on the Enchantment Park side of the Wenatchee, looking across to a gravel bar. Same cold current as the other river beaches, and no lifeguards. A short walk from the fields along Rafters Trail.

Blackbird Island Pond

A small pond on the Blackbird Island side of Enchantment Park, also called Enchantment Park Pond. The City of Leavenworth stocks it with cutthroat trout and opens it to juveniles under 15, senior anglers, and anglers with a disability. Things to Know

Park hours are 6am to 10pm. Ball fields typically close October 15 and reopen around April 15, depending on snowmelt. Trails and restrooms stay open in winter for walking and cross-country skiing.

Free lot, including buses

The paved lot at 300 Enchantment Park Way holds a large number of vehicles plus up to three buses, with ADA stalls. This is the overflow lot when Waterfront Park is full — then walk the island trail into downtown.

Dogs on leash

Leashed dogs are welcome on the connecting trails. Keep them off the fields and the pump track. City code does not allow animals to run at large.

Bring what they already ride

The pump track works for balance bikes, scooters, and bikes. The skate park covers a range of skill levels. There is no rental shop on site — pack the gear from home or from your lodging.

Not the Enchantments

Enchantment Park is a city sports park in town. The Enchantments alpine wilderness is a different destination, west of Leavenworth, with a competitive overnight permit. Dogs are allowed here and not there.
