Overview

Pine Flats Campground sits along the Entiat River approximately 25 miles north of Entiat, at an elevation of about 1,600 feet in a mix of ponderosa pines and Douglas firs. The campground has 6 individual first-come, first-served sites and one reservable group site, each with a picnic table and fire ring. Vault toilets and potable water are available during core season (late April through October).

The Lower Mad River Trailhead is at the campground entrance, giving hikers and mountain bikers direct access to the 15-mile Mad River Trail — known for outstanding spring wildflowers and fall foliage. Trailers up to 28 feet are allowed at both the individual and group sites, making this a practical mid-valley base for exploring deeper into the Entiat backcountry.
